Drivers prepare special paint schemes for the Southern 500 at Darlington

NASCAR Cup Series teams are unveiling custom paint schemes ahead of the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, the final Crown Jewel event of the 2026 season. Joey Logano leads the rankings for best design with an alternate Pennzoil Ultra Platinum look on his No. 22 Ford. Other notable designs include Ross Chastain in a Busch Light Chevrolet and Brad Keselowski, whose No. 6 Ford honors over 450 military heroes. Conversely, Denny Hamlin received criticism for the Sport Clips Haircuts scheme on his No. 11 Toyota due to the amount of unused white space on the vehicle. Riley Herbst and Chris Buescher also secured top-five spots in design rankings. These liveries will appear on the track during the race scheduled for Sunday as the series begins the Chase.
