Duke and Michigan have canceled their scheduled basketball matchup set for December 21, 2026, originally planned for Madison Square Garden and later moved to LoanDepot Park in Miami. The game faced complications related to broadcast rights, with the Big Ten asserting control over the matchup. Duke now plans to play Texas Tech at Madison Square Garden on the same date. Michigan recently underwent a coaching change, losing coach Dusty May to the NBA shortly before the 2026 NBA Draft, which has impacted the team's roster.
