Duke basketball secures 2027 commitment from Kager Knueppel

Kager Knueppel, a four-star power forward and brother of NBA player Kon Knueppel, commits to Duke for the 2027 class. Ranked as the No. 28 player by 247Sports, he averaged 16.5 points per game in the EYBL and shot over 50% from three-point range last season. Duke beat out Purdue, Wisconsin, Toledo, and Arkansas for his commitment, marking a strong start for head coach Jon Scheyer's recruitment efforts. Kager aims to emulate his brother's success, who was the fourth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, setting records as a rookie. Duke may also be targeting Beckham Black, brother of NBA guard Anthony Black, for future recruitment.
