Duke Ellis sets Scranton/Wilkes-Barre stolen base record

Duke Ellis achieved a franchise milestone on August 6, becoming the all-time stolen base leader for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders during a game against Rochester. He recorded his 41st stolen base of the season, surpassing Nick Punto's previous record of 82 career steals. Since then, Ellis has extended his record to 85 steals in 156 games. He is also close to a single-season record, needing just two more steals to break Tommy Barrett's 44 from 1989.
