Summary

Cass Lake-Bena/Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig defeated Red Lake 50-0 on Thursday at Cass Lake-Bena High School. Senior captain Dylan Jones returned to the field for his first game action in over a year after sustaining a tibial tuberosity avulsion fracture during his junior season. His return marks a shift for a football program that was forced to shut down its 2025 season due to a shortage of healthy players. The Panthers held a 16-0 lead at halftime and secured 34 additional points in the third quarter. Coach Mike Hanson Jr. credited the team's offseason work for the result, which stands as the program's fourth win since 2021.
