Dylan Larkin trade could benefit both Ducks and Red Wings

A potential trade involving Dylan Larkin could address issues for both the Detroit Red Wings and Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks face challenges following Leo Carlsson's unexpected cap hit, complicating their ability to re-sign Cutter Gauthier. By trading Larkin for Gauthier, the Ducks can gain cost certainty with Larkin's manageable contract, while the Red Wings could acquire a promising young player to transition after Larkin’s departure. Such a move aligns with Larkin's request to leave Detroit and allows him a new role on a developing team. Further discussions on the feasibility of this trade continue as both teams evaluate their options.
