Dystany Spurlock, first Black woman in NASCAR, to race with new sponsor

Dystany Spurlock, marking her place in history as the first Black woman to race in NASCAR, will compete in the ARCA Menards Series at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on Friday. She will drive the No. 66 Toyota with a sponsorship from ‘She Pivots’, a media brand founded by Emily Tisch Sussman, who is part of the New York Giants ownership and a co-owner of Gotham FC. Spurlock, who began her motorsports career in motorcycle drag racing, has finished in the top 15 in six ARCA races this season.
