Dystany Spurlock, the first Black woman driver in NASCAR, will attempt to qualify for the Craftsman Truck Series race at Richmond on Friday. Spurlock is aiming to be among the top 36 trucks out of 39 entries in her third try this season. A Virginia native, she has made history in the sport after previously competing in ARCA with six top-15 finishes this season. This race will also mark her first with Team Reaume. Should she qualify, Spurlock will be the only woman participating in the Friday night event.
