Eagles consider trading Saquon Barkley amid roster shakeup rumors

Summary

The Philadelphia Eagles are facing difficult roster decisions following a 25-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers and Jalen Hurts' season-ending injury due to blood clots. Discussions are ongoing about potentially trading running back Saquon Barkley, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. Team insider Zach Berman noted Barkley could attract interest from other teams as he enters the latter part of his career. While the Eagles may be reluctant to trade Barkley if they aim to compete in 2027, they might also look to offload other players with expiring contracts. The team's current record stands at 2-4, prompting consideration of asset management for future seasons.
