Eagles consider trading Tanner McKee to Lions for draft pick

Summary

The Philadelphia Eagles are contemplating a trade involving quarterback Tanner McKee, potentially sending him to the Detroit Lions. With preseason approaching and roster decisions looming, McKee could be dealt alongside a 2027 sixth-round pick in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round pick. This comes after Teddy Bridgewater's retirement, which has increased the Lions' need for backup quarterback depth. McKee, selected by the Eagles in the 2023 NFL Draft, has shown promise with limited playing time. The proposed trade remains speculative as both teams evaluate their quarterback situations ahead of roster cutdowns.
