Eagles release defensive tackle Gabe Hall during roster cuts

The Philadelphia Eagles released defensive tackle Gabe Hall on August 29, 2026, as part of their roster cuts ahead of the new season. Hall, who joined as an undrafted rookie from Baylor in 2024, spent significant time on the practice squad in his first two seasons. He made the initial 53-man roster in 2025 but played only in two games before returning to the practice squad. This summer, he competed for a final spot in a crowded defensive tackle line but struggled to stand out. His release follows the waiving of rookie Zion Wilson, indicating clarity within the Eagles' defensive line structure. Hall will go through the waiver process and may return to the practice squad if not claimed by another team.
