Eagles release veteran cornerback Ambry Thomas from roster

Summary

The Philadelphia Eagles have released cornerback Ambry Thomas as they finalize their roster decisions ahead of the season. Thomas, who joined the Eagles' practice squad in August 2025, struggled to secure a spot despite some promising plays during the preseason. He showed flashes of potential, including a fumble recovery and pass deflections, but was unable to stand out amid fierce competition. His release may improve opportunities for other cornerbacks vying for a role. As a vested veteran, Thomas is eligible to sign with another team immediately.
