Eagles release Za'Darius Smith from reserve/retired list

The Philadelphia Eagles have officially released edge rusher Za'Darius Smith from the reserve/retired list, allowing him to pursue opportunities with other teams. Smith initially retired last October after making 1.5 sacks in five games with the Eagles. He entered the NFL in 2015 and had previous stints with the Ravens, Packers, Vikings, Browns, and Lions. There is currently no indication of whether Smith plans to return to professional football.
