Eagles secure Jalen Carter with record extension ahead of training camp

The Philadelphia Eagles announced a four-year contract extension for defensive tackle Jalen Carter on the eve of training camp, making him the highest-paid defensive tackle in the NFL. The deal, reportedly worth $152 million with $106 million guaranteed, adds significant financial flexibility for the team. With training camp starting Wednesday morning, the focus will also be on key position battles as the Eagles aim for another deep playoff run after last season's Super Bowl appearance. Carter's new contract could have implications for upcoming extensions for teammates like Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean.
