Eagles starters uncertain to play against Ravens in preseason opener

Summary

The Philadelphia Eagles will begin their preseason against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night at M&T Bank Stadium. Coach Nick Sirianni is non-committal about how many starters, including quarterback Jalen Hurts, will participate. Several key players, including Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert, might sit out to preserve their health. With many newcomers and backups needing snaps to solidify their roles, the Eagles could opt for a cautious approach, especially following a training camp with injuries affecting several veterans. This leaves a mix of established players and younger talent expected to compete for positions.
