Eagles trade A.J. Brown as offseason drama unfolds following disappointing playoff exit

Summary

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots for draft picks, marking a significant move following a lackluster playoff performance last season. After a Super Bowl victory, the Eagles struggled to maintain team chemistry and cohesion, leading to a first-round playoff exit. Despite losing Brown and offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, Philadelphia has drafted Makai Lemon and signed Marquise Brown to bolster the offense, aiming for a rebound similar to their Super Bowl-winning turnaround in 2025. The team is also undergoing changes with first-time coordinator Sean Mannion, who seeks to address offensive issues reported during the previous season.
