Eagles trade A.J. Brown to Patriots for 2028 first-round pick

The Philadelphia Eagles traded wide receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick on June 1. Eagles G.M. Howie Roseman defended the decision, stating that a first-round pick is valuable regardless of the year it is made. Roseman acknowledged the uncertainty regarding the 2028 draft class but emphasized the importance of accumulating first-round picks for team building. This move comes after months of speculation about Brown's future with the Eagles given his desire to leave the team.
