Eagles trade A.J. Brown to Patriots for 2028 first-round pick

The Philadelphia Eagles traded wide receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots, receiving a 2028 first-round pick in return. This move comes as Brown expressed frustration with his role in Philadelphia's offense, prompting the Eagles to seek a fresh start for the player. While the Eagles are now expected to rely more on DeVonta Smith and recent draft pick Makai Lemon, experts have given mixed grades for the trade. Some view the return as solid given Brown's recent performance and age, while others believe the Patriots may have overpaid for a player with reported injury issues. Discussions about the impact of this trade will continue throughout the offseason.
