Eagles waive safety Cole Wisniewski ahead of roster deadline
Summary

The Philadelphia Eagles have waived rookie safety Cole Wisniewski as part of their roster reductions before the NFL deadline. Wisniewski, selected with the No. 244 overall pick in the seventh round, is expected to be added to the practice squad if he clears waivers. His time to compete for a roster spot was limited due to injuries, including a hamstring issue and a concussion that affected his participation throughout training camp and the preseason. The team is interested in developing Wisniewski despite waiving him, as he showed promise during his college career.
