East Lansing girls tennis finishes seventh at Division 2 state finals

The East Lansing girls tennis team placed seventh at the Division 2 state tournament held in Midland on June 4. East Lansing secured 13 points, tying with Mattawan. The team's top doubles pair, Ani Meghea and Evie Laxton, advanced to the state semifinals with a record of 22-1. Other notable players who reached the state quarterfinals include Sima Bezuglova at No. 4 singles, and multiple doubles teams. Okemos finished 12th in Division 1 with eight points, led by Isabella Portnoy and Isabelle Hult.
