Eastern Washington prepares to face Northern Iowa in nonconference football action

MMAEastern Washington hosts the Northern Iowa Panthers this Saturday in a nonconference matchup between members of the Big Sky Conference and the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Northern Iowa head coach Todd Stepsis aims for his third consecutive victory against Eastern Washington, having previously secured wins while leading Drake and during last season's 17-14 victory in Cedar Falls. Eastern Washington enters the contest with an 0-1 record following an opening loss. This game is one of several cross-conference contests scheduled for the week, as Big Sky programs continue their nonleague slate. Looking ahead, Eastern Washington will travel to face South Dakota on September 12. The two programs are also scheduled to meet again in Cheney on September 18, 2027.
