Eastern Washington University plans eight million dollar press box for Roos Field

Eastern Washington University announced plans to construct a new elevated press box on the east side of Roos Field. The project carries an estimated cost of eight million dollars and represents the second phase of a broader stadium renovation vision. Once the new structure is complete, the university intends to redesign the current west-side press box into premium suites and fan spaces. Groundbreaking for the project is scheduled for October 10, with construction expected to conclude prior to the 2028 football season. Private donations are funding all phases of the renovations, which follow a recent two point five million dollar resurfacing of the stadium's track completed in August. These improvements are part of a larger, ongoing capital plan at the university involving nearly 250 million dollars in campus upgrades.
