Eck and Booker named to preseason watch lists for college awards

New Mexico's Jaxton Eck and Brian Booker have been named to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Outland Trophy preseason watch lists, respectively. The announcements were made by the Football Writers Association of America. Eck, a linebacker, was previously recognized as the Mountain West Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and has made significant contributions with 128 tackles last season. Booker, a defensive lineman, was selected as preseason All-Mountain West and recorded 19 tackles in the previous season. Finalists for these trophies will be announced in November.
