Ed Allan signs four-year contract extension with Collingwood

Collingwood midfielder Ed Allan has signed a four-year contract extension that keeps him at the KGM Centre through the 2030 season. The 22-year-old solidified his position in the side after a breakout 2026 campaign where he appeared in 19 games. Allan originally entered the league as the 19th pick in the 2022 AFL Draft and played 15 games over his first three seasons. Coach Craig McRae utilized the West Australian primarily as a tagger throughout the year, assigning him defensive roles on players including Zak Butters, Tim Taranto, Isaac Heeney, Marcus Bontempelli, Noah Anderson, and Kysaiah Pickett. Collingwood initially offered a two-year extension in August before increasing the proposal to the current four-year term in recent days. This new deal ensures the club retains the midfielder until he becomes eligible for free agency.
