EFL players eliminated from World Cup over the weekend

Seven English Football League players exited the World Cup over the weekend. Wolves striker Raul Jimenez and West Ham defender Edson Alvarez played in Mexico's 3-2 defeat against England in the last 16. Jimenez scored three goals in the tournament, including a penalty. Southampton's Cyle Larin and Norwich's Ali Ahmed also played for Canada, who lost 3-0 to Morocco. Additionally, Leicester City's Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu featured for Ghana in a 1-0 loss to Colombia in the last 32.
