Frankfurt enters the contest following a 3-3 draw against Union Berlin, where the team surrendered a two-goal lead in the final 20 minutes. Frankfurt holds a seven-game unbeaten streak in home head-to-head encounters against Augsburg, though the visitors are seeking a third consecutive victory across all competitions. Frankfurt will be without the injured trio of Jessic Ngankam, Nnamdi Collins, and Ansgar Knauff, while Ritsu Dōan is available for selection. For the visitors, Steve Mounié and Tim Breithaupt remain unavailable, and Anton Kade is a doubt for the matchday squad after missing training.
