Elgton Jenkins leads revamped Browns offensive line into season opener

The Cleveland Browns enter their September 13 season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a reconstructed offensive line. Veteran center Elgton Jenkins, signed as a free agent this past March after seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers, anchors the new group. The team moved on from several long-time starters including Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller during the offseason. Joining Jenkins as new starters are right tackle Tytus Howard, left guard Zion Johnson, and rookie left tackle Spencer Fano. A final decision remains at right guard, where Teven Jenkins faces a back injury that could lead to a start for rookie Austin Barber. The group has spent the last four-and-a-half weeks practicing as a unit to establish chemistry ahead of the team's first regular-season game.
