Eli Gilman accounted for four touchdowns as the Montana Grizzlies defeated the Drake Bulldogs 45-10 on Saturday in Missoula. Gilman rushed 19 times for 105 yards, scoring three times on the ground to break the school record for career rushing touchdowns previously held by Chase Reynolds. He added a 1-yard touchdown reception from Keali'i Ah Yat to tie Reynolds' overall career touchdown record of 59. Ah Yat completed 27 of 40 passes for 282 yards, including a 26-yard scoring strike to Brooks Davis. Drake, the defending Pioneer League champions, managed a 10-yard touchdown pass from Riley Warzynski to Marquis Monroe in the fourth quarter. Montana moves to 2-0 on the season and prepares to host Utah Tech next Saturday. Drake falls to 0-2 and will travel to play Northern Iowa on Saturday.

Gilman carried 19 times for 105 yards and had two short scoring runs in the first quarter to give Montana (2-0), ranked third in the Stats Perform FCS poll, a 14-3 lead. The senior ran it in from inside the 1-yard line on fourth-and-goal for a 21-3 lead in the second quarter, breaking Chase Reynold's school record of 52 career rushing touchdowns set from 2007-10.
