Ellyes Skhiri transfer to Cologne hinges on salary negotiations

Cologne and Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly reached an agreement for Ellyes Skhiri's return. The clubs have settled on transfer terms for the midfielder, but Skhiri's salary demands remain unresolved. Cologne is willing to offer around €1.5 million per year, while Skhiri currently earns more at Frankfurt. His exclusion from Frankfurt's training camp in July signaled a declining role, prompting negotiations for his departure. Although interest from Sevilla had previously sidelined Köln's pursuit, the Bundesliga clubs are now close to finalizing the deal, contingent on Skhiri agreeing to a reduced salary.
