Elmira and Horseheads exit NYSPHSAA girls soccer regional finals

Elmira and Horseheads both faced defeats in the NYSPHSAA girls soccer regional finals on November 7 at Chenango Valley High School. Elmira lost 1-0 to Arlington in the Class AAA regional final, with Chase Harris scoring the only goal in the second half. Horseheads fell 3-1 to Northport in the Class AA final, with Maddie Ribble scoring the last goal for Horseheads just before the end. Greene advanced to the state final four in Class C, while Maine-Endwell and Margaretville also exited their competitions. Both Elmira and Horseheads concluded their seasons with strong performances despite the losses.
