Emerson Axsom claims first career World of Outlaws win at Huset’s Speedway

Emerson Axsom secured his first career victory Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series on Sunday night at Huset’s Speedway. Competing in the L.G. Everist Huset’s Shootout, Axsom led every lap of the 40-lap main event to claim the $25,000 prize. The race featured intense battles with Carson Macedo and was slowed by three red flags in the final five laps, ultimately ending after a green-white-checkered restart. Michael Kofoid finished in second place, 0.527 seconds behind the leader, while David Gravel rounded out the podium. The win marks the fifth time this season a driver has earned a first-time victory with the series. Axsom, who currently sits 12th in the series point standings, overcame heavy traffic and repeated pressure from competitors to finish the season at the South Dakota track.
