Emilia Pelgander signs contract extension with Leicester City

Leicester City midfielder Emilia Pelgander has signed a new contract extending her stay at the King Power Stadium until the summer of 2028. The 22-year-old Swedish youth international joined the East Midlands club in early 2024. She has accumulated 18 appearances for the side across all competitions to date. During her tenure, Pelgander spent time on loan at FC Rosengård and HB Køge to further her development. The midfielder featured in the starting lineup for the team's opening match of the Barclays WSL2 season, a 1-0 victory against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. Pelgander expressed readiness to contribute to the team following her return to Belvoir Drive.
