Emma Brandt earns OSU Wexner Girls Athlete of the Week honors

Bloom-Carroll's Emma Brandt was awarded the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Girls Athlete of the Week for June 1-7. She led her team to a Division III state semifinal victory by throwing a one-hitter against Greenville, striking out ten batters. In the state final against Louisville, Brandt allowed five hits and struck out eight without walking any batters. Brandt garnered 60% of the votes, surpassing runner-up Morgan Hinkens, who earned 34.4% for her performance in the Division VI state final. Multiple athletes were nominated, demonstrating strong performances across various sports.
