Emma Finucane leads Wales to gold in Commonwealth Games team sprint

Emma Finucane helped Wales secure gold in the team sprint at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on July 31. Finucane, alongside Rhian Edmunds and Lowri Thomas, set a record of 46.972 seconds during the morning qualifying session. In the final, despite an early lead by England's Rhianna Parris-Smith, Finucane's speed turned the race in Wales' favor. This victory marks the third gold for Wales at the Games, following wins by Ruby Evans and Aled Davies. Finucane is set to compete in the individual sprint later this week.
