Emma Juneja joins Sydney AFLW squad after undrafted path to professional career

Midfielder Emma Juneja has joined the Sydney AFLW list as an injury replacement player. The 20-year-old was signed by the club in July while recovering from a syndesmosis ankle injury. After missing out on the national draft at age 18, Juneja returned to the Sydney Swans Academy and later gained experience with Box Hill in the VFLW. Her development included competing in the Talent League and representing the Allies during the Under-18 Championships. Juneja is currently balancing her professional sports commitments with university studies in commerce and engineering. She is now preparing for her first Sydney Derby appearance as a member of the Sydney roster.
