Emmet Sheehan strikes out 10 in Dodgers victory over Cincinnati Reds

The Los Angeles Dodgers secured their fifth consecutive victory on Monday by defeating the Cincinnati Reds 6-3 at Dodger Stadium. Pitcher Emmet Sheehan earned the win in his first start since returning from the minor leagues, striking out a career-high 10 batters over 5.2 innings. While Sheehan surrendered a solo home run to Elly De La Cruz in the first inning, he held the Reds to three hits and one walk throughout his outing. Teoscar Hernandez paced the Dodgers' offense with a two-hit performance that included a three-run home run. A defensive error by the Reds in the fifth inning also contributed two additional runs for Los Angeles. The Dodgers move to 87-57 on the season and will continue their series against the 69-75 Reds on Tuesday evening with Tarik Skubal scheduled to face Nick Lodolo.
