England and Sri Lanka announce squads for upcoming white-ball cricket series

England and Sri Lanka have finalized their squads for an upcoming series consisting of three T20 Internationals and three ODIs. Harry Brook will captain England in both formats, with Jamie Overton returning to the side following a thigh injury. New players Aneurin Donald and Henry Crocombe received their first international call-ups for the T20I and ODI squads, respectively. Sri Lanka named Charith Asalanka as captain for the T20I series to cover for Kusal Mendis, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury. Pavan Rathnayake and Dilshan Madushanka have been added to the Sri Lankan squad as injury replacements. The T20I series opens in Southampton on September 15, followed by matches in Cardiff and Manchester, before the teams transition to the ODI series starting September 22 in Chester-le-Street.
