England's head of performance, Phil Morrow, stated that a final decision regarding Itoje's participation will be made in the coming weeks. Itoje, who has played over 30 matches in each of the past two seasons, opted to rest at home instead of attending a training camp. - •England's Nations Championship starts against South Africa on July 4.
- •Alex Mitchell is recovering from a hamstring strain but may still tour.
- •Ellis Genge returns from injury, easing concerns at loose-head prop.
