Rob Key, England's director of men's cricket, stated he would not be surprised if Ben Stokes returns from international retirement. Stokes announced his retirement following a Test series against New Zealand in June, influenced by an incident that led to his investigation. Key noted that a return for the Ashes series next summer remains open. Meanwhile, Michael Vaughan speculated that changes in England's coaching staff might entice Stokes back into the fold.
