Current options for the forward position, such as Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney, have seen limited action in recent matches, raising questions about England's attacking depth. As succession planning takes on urgency, England may need a strategy to adapt, possibly looking towards a younger generation of strikers like Liam Delap, who is still developing after a challenging start at Chelsea.
