Enzo Fernandez is set to join Manchester City in a deal worth £125 million. This impending transfer represents a joint-British record fee and follows his 2023 move to Chelsea from Benfica for £107 million. Upon completion, the 25-year-old midfielder will become the first footballer to finalize two separate moves exceeding £100 million. Fernandez has served as Chelsea's vice-captain since the summer of 2024 and maintained a consistent presence for the club, having missed only 14 matches throughout his career due to injury. His professional resume includes World Cup and Copa America titles with Argentina, alongside a 2025 Club World Cup win with Chelsea. The move to Manchester City will see him bring experience from 285 league appearances across three countries and 49 international caps to his new club.
