Eric DeCosta expects bounce-back season from Marlon Humphrey

Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta stated his expectation for cornerback Marlon Humphrey to rebound this season after falling short of expectations last year. Humphrey enters the final season of the five-year, $97 million contract extension he signed in 2020. Despite a cap hit exceeding $26 million, the franchise retained the veteran corner rather than releasing him for salary cap savings. DeCosta described Humphrey as a leader and a multi-time All-Pro who remains a vital component of the team defense. The organization views veteran cornerbacks with high-level experience as difficult to replace. A successful campaign during this contract year could position Humphrey for a new deal in 2027.
