Eric Nehm joins The Athletic to cover the Miami Heat

Longtime Milwaukee Bucks reporter Eric Nehm has joined The Athletic to serve as the team’s dedicated Miami Heat beat writer. The move follows the Miami Heat's acquisition of Giannis Antetokounmpo in a trade earlier this summer. Nehm previously covered the Bucks for a decade, documenting the team's championship run in 2021 and multiple MVP seasons for Antetokounmpo. The Miami Heat have lacked a dedicated beat reporter for The Athletic since the publication was acquired by the New York Times. The team remains in a transitional phase following the addition of Antetokounmpo to a roster that features Bam Adebayo and recently appeared in the 2023 NBA Finals.
