Erie Times-News opens District 10 athlete of the week polling

The Erie Times-News, Seaway Window, and AHN Sports Medicine are conducting weekly athlete of the week polls for the District 10 fall sports season. Due to the Labor Day holiday, the voting period for the week of August 31 through September 5 has been shifted to run from Tuesday at 5 a.m. through Thursday at 5 p.m. Fans are encouraged to submit nominee suggestions to the publication via email, including the player, school, sport, and justification for the nomination based on recent performance. Once an athlete wins a poll, they are no longer eligible for nomination for the remainder of the fall season. Fairview girls tennis is currently highlighted as one of the top performers, holding a 2-0 record under new coaching as the polling process begins.
