Erling Haaland ties Tommy Johnson for Manchester City's goal record

Erling Haaland scored his 166th goal for Manchester City during a Champions League match against Porto on Tuesday. The striker converted an assist from Enzo Fernández early in the second half to pull even with Tommy Johnson on the club's all-time scoring list. Haaland achieved this mark in 203 appearances, while Johnson recorded his 166 goals over 355 games played between 1920 and 1930. Only Sergio Aguero and Eric Brook have scored more goals for the club than the pair. The goal adds to a career total for Haaland that includes 58 strikes in 59 Champions League matches and three Premier League Golden Boots since joining the squad in 2022.
