ESPN ranks Vikings' running backs eighth entering 2026 season
Summary

ESPN released its rankings of NFL running back groups, placing the Minnesota Vikings eighth overall for 2026. This represents a drop from their previous ranking of sixth. The Vikings' ground game was considered lackluster last season, finishing in the bottom third for rushing yards per game but 11th in yards per carry. Key players include Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason, both of whom have faced issues with fumbles. ESPN analyst Bill Barnwell noted that the running back talent may not match the prominence of their names and suggested an upgrade might be necessary for competitiveness this season.
