Essendon captain Bonnie Toogood joins AFL animated series Wagtales

Essendon AFLW captain Bonnie Toogood has joined the cast of the AFL’s animated children's series, Wagtales. The Essendon star appears in the second episode of the show to provide leadership advice to the animated characters Willie and Major. Toogood stated that she accepted the role immediately after the opportunity was presented to her. The series aims to engage younger audiences with Australian rules football through animation. Other football figures featured in the project include Patrick Dangerfield and Zippy Fish. Toogood expressed hope that the program will help introduce the sport to a wider demographic of children.
