Last night’s MVPW-04 show saw two world title changes in Orlando, Fla., plus two titlists keeping their belts. Here’s a quick rundown of the results. Oshae Jones and Tiara Brown retain titles Oshae Jones (9-0-1, 3 KO) barely kept her IBF super welterweight title, retaining via a 10-round draw with Elia Carranza. It was a rematch of a controversial title fight 11 months prior, and no dust has really settled yet, either. In the first bout, Jones won on majority decision scores, with two cards going her way, 96-94 and 98-92. The third judge scored it a shutout for Carranza, 100-90. This time around, the scores were more neatly grouped. One judge had it even, 95-95, and the other two judges scored it 96-94, one for Jones and one for Carranza (11-2-1, 3 KO). There’s every chance we’re headed for a trilogy here, as it’s not as if the 154 lb division is bursting with big name talent or anything. Tiara Brown (21-0, 11 KO) retained her WBC featherweight title via decision over Hannah Rapp on scores of 97-93, 99-91, and 99-91. The 38-year-old “Dark Menace” is still best-known for upsetting Skye Nicolson to win this title in March 2025, and has now made two successful defenses. Rapp falls to 8-1-1 (5 KO) in a game effort where she came up short, but will stay in the mix at 126 lbs, too. Nataly Delgado, Estefany Alegria win first world titles Panama’s Nataly Delgado (21-7-2, 5 KO) took the WBA super flyweight title from MVP’s Jasmine Artiga via unanimous scores of 97-93. The 31-year-old Delgado had fought for a world title before, coming up short in an IBF title bid in 2021, and won the WBA’s interim title in July 2025, making two defenses before finally landing this crack at Artiga (15-1-1, 7 KO), where she scored the upset over the 34-year-old Tampa native. Artiga did go down fighting, rallying late, and shouldn’t find herself waiting for more opportunities too long. Mexico’s Estefany Alegria scored an even bigger upset over the long-established Evelin Bermudez, taking the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles with a dominant decision victory, scored 99-91 twice and 100-90 by the judges, and Alegria (15-1, 4 KO) earned every round she got on the cards. Alegria also won MVP’s $20,000 Performance of the Night bonus with a terrific display of pressure that was just too much for Bermudez (22-2-1, 8 KO).
