Estevao Willian seeks increased playing time at Chelsea amid heavy competition

Summary

Chelsea forward Estevao Willian has seen limited action during the early portion of the season, recording only 96 minutes of play. While reports suggested dissatisfaction regarding his current role, club representatives and associates have denied these claims. Head coach Xabi Alonso stated that the 19-year-old remains a key part of his long-term plans as the player continues to adapt following a serious hamstring injury. Estevao currently faces competition for minutes from established attacking options including Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer, and Joao Pedro. The midfielder remains part of a core group that the club views as untouchable in future project planning. Chelsea currently manages a 27-man squad and will face Leeds United in a Carabao Cup match on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge, which serves as a critical opportunity for rotation players to earn more minutes.
