Ethan Mbappé receives red card during Lille Champions League match

Lille midfielder Ethan Mbappé was sent off during a Champions League match against Real Betis on Tuesday. The 19-year-old player was dismissed by referee Georgi Kabakov following a VAR review for an elbow to the face of Natan. The incident occurred early in the second half shortly after Troy Parrott scored to give Real Betis a 3-2 lead. Earlier in the match, Mbappé assisted Ayase Ueda on the opening goal for Lille. The red card makes Mbappé the youngest player to be sent off in the Champions League while playing for a French club. His brother, Kylian Mbappé, currently plays for Real Madrid.
